A new report indicates that more people are struggling to look after their feet during COVID-19.

The study undertaken by researchers at the University of Southampton and Solent NHS Trust, showed that COVID-19 restrictions led to an association of poorer foot health or foot pain and reduced physical activity during lockdown.

Foot problems previously thought of as relatively ‘minor’ by respondents, such as support for skin and nail care, were exacerbated by restricted support networks leading to greater detrimental impact upon health and wellbeing.

Recommendations from the the study suggest foot health should receive greater public health focus and clearer public messaging about physical activity and foot health.

What’s your experience been during the pandemic? Have your feet suffered?
