A bunion is a bony deformity of your big toe.
Bunions often develop over time and are caused by abnormal forces leading to your big toe moving towards your second toe, creating a bony lump on the side of your foot which can become inflamed and sore.

My daughter is aged 11 and looks like she is already forming a bunion on one foot. I always buy Clarks shoes for school, but I think they must have got too small for her at the end of the school year, and this has caused the problem. I wonder if black trainers would be a better option for high school. (Even more expensive than clarks though as I am sure she would insist on a designer label!)
