I’m not a fan of feet! I’ve always found them a bit ‘Ugh!’. It’s probably why I didn’t look after mine as much as I should.

I had a cracked heel and a fungal nail infection on my left foot. The doctors didn’t know what to do with it. They suggested tablets but I didn’t want to go down that route.

For me, a lot of it was aesthetic. I wanted to wear open footwear but at the same time was aware of people being able to see my feet.

I’d tried other creams but it was always a really short-term solution. I wanted something that lasted longer. At the same time, I wanted it to feel like a treat. I was fed up with shelling out money on products that looked ugly, with a big picture of a foot on the front. I liked the fragrance of the Dr Anders products. I have used Dr Anders products on my heel and toenails which has made a positive difference. I have also tried the nourishing daily therapy because I have type 1 diabetes and I tend not to sweat much at the extremities which can lead to dry feet.

feet

In the past I haven’t given my feet the care I should have. I’ve worn shoes that were too tight and put off dealing with issues because I didn’t have time.

I have a different attitude to my feet now. I had never previously been to a podiatrist but I would now. That way I can get on top of problems and feel confident about having my feet on show.

I have realised I need to treat them with as much importance as the rest of my body.
